Dear Patients,

All of us at Elm Street Adult Medicine hope that you and your family are safe and well. Because of the current Covid-19 surge we are seeing limited numbers of patients in the office. Telehealth visits continue where appropriate or as patients prefer.

When you come to the office to visit you will notice some changes that are for your safety. We have implemented and exceeded all of the recommendations from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health regarding safely re-opening our office to more patients.

Our front end staff will work with you over the phone to obtain your insurance information before the visit and make follow up plans after your visit. We will miss spending time with you at the window, but will be happy to speak with you on the phone.

You will be asked questions about any exposure or symptoms of COVID-19 at the time to make your appointment as well as on your arrival at the office. Only patients without COVID-19 symptoms or exposure can be seen in the office. All staff and visitors are also screened daily.

We will ask you to wait in your car until the exam room is ready for you, you will be met at your car with some hand sanitizer and a fresh mask. All staff, patients and visitors will be wearing masks.

Telehealth visits will continue to be available, and we will work together to decide whether in person visits or video call will be most helpful and appropriate for you.

We look forward to seeing you in person or virtually.
